I guess that doll is a tangible metaphor. That doll is as representative of Brad Pitt as the movie it comes from is as representative of the source material that spawned it.

I know - I'm rewatching the show on blu-ray and every once in a while I'm reminded of how old the show is and when I first saw it!!!!

It makes me really keen to watch DS9 again but I'm holding off until blu-rays because there actually IS a massive difference.

Keep doing what you like, for I like what you do - as do many others whose walls are proudly adorned by your art. As for this piece, it took me a moment to suss what makes this work. It is the moisture vaporator that ties this together and gives it balance and grounding. And R2 rocks - almost as much as Huey, Dewey and Louie! :)

See it's interesting because I think anyone watching the film will enjoy it and for the most part I think people will probably like it more than the first simply because we're exploring more of that universe. But on the flip side it's a shame that it won't push them to make better films - this should have been Lord of the Rings epic but most of the plot when you break it down has problems - but when watching you don't care because everyone is so pleasant to watch - and then again several characters should have been given so much more to do (which is greedy I'm sure).

Loki is pure gold, I'd be very surprised if we don't see a Loki centric film in the future.

I think there's something nice about putting together an accurate costume - or at the very least including some components that are accurate - the watch for example is pretty cheap but it's accurate so I think its a nice addition to maybe a less accurate costume.

Thanks for the reply. I would rather build an as close to Movie costume as possible unless to pricey. I see only 2-3 good costumes on Ebay the rest are lousy.

The board I used for that one was a Canson Watercolour rough 270 gsm A5 size. Now the problem with watercolours is that no matter the paper you're always going to get warping unless you treat the paper beforehand and tape it down etc.

Personally I don't have time for that so I'll just flatten the paper out in the scanner - the thicker the paper you use the less warping too - I'd never really attempt anything except highlights on the paper you're mentioning.

Also the A5 size is pretty easy to keep under control - the bigger the picture the more water the more warping.

This could be a stupid question. But what paper do you use for your water colours?
The paper I use is a grade better than printer paper, I just get it from my local stationery, and he sells it as sketch paper. But the moment I use water colour, it gets a new life and starts dancing. Such a pain to get scans.

I did a comic earlier this year which was an unfinished thing from the year before so I'm definitely not anti taking a break and letting something sit but there are a bunch of things that I should be more ruthless with and let myself off the hook for!
